Central®
West Central is a full service, farmer owned cooperative with a
nationwide and international presence. Currently, West Central
is one of the 20 largest grain companies in the United States
with 3,148 stockholders, and inbound grain of 80.9 million
bushels in 2006. The company is a full service agronomy inputs
provider, and further processes soybeans into a variety of value
added products. These products include SoyPLUS®,
SoyChlor®, and other livestock nutritional products.

In 2008, West Central is
celebrating 75 years in business, having been incorporated in 1933. Cooperative
headquarters are currently located in Ralston, Iowa.
What is a
cooperative?
A cooperative is a company that is owned by the members it
serves. More than 3,000 farmers have paid a one-time $100
membership fee to own stock in West Central cooperative.
Earnings are distributed annually to members in the form of
dividends. Dividends are based on the amount of business a
member has done with West Central. |
